3-Day Mindfulness Retreat with Dharma Teacher Chu Chan Huy, True Radiance, who received Lamp Transmission directly from Thich Nhat Hanh in 1994.
Friday, May 17, 9 AM - Sunday, May 19 (through lunch)
(with arrival on Friday between 8 &9 am)
Kearns Spirituality Center
9000 Babcock Boulevard, Allison Park, PA15101
Having the opportunity to be on retreat is a wonderful gift. It allows us the time and space to truly stop and return to ourselves, opening the path to healing and transformation. Practicing with the support of our spiritual community, we cultivate an inner space where we can ground ourselves in peace and solidity. We can begin to feel our deep connection to the many wonders of life and touch the Beloved Community within us and around us.
We are especially pleased to be welcoming from Vietnam our root teacher, Chu Chan Huy, who has lovingly guided Laughing Rivers Sangha for over two decades, and returning to the Kearns Spirituality Center, a welcoming spiritual home where we have held retreats for many years.
During our retreat we will ground ourselves in the practice of conscious breathing as we enjoy mindful sitting, walking, and eating, learning to bring a calm, open awareness to each moment. Teachings on the practice and small group sharing in a supportive environment will aid us in deepening our understanding and applying the practice in daily life. The retreat atmosphere is one of ease, acceptance, and quiet joy. Beginners to the practice are most welcome.

As part of this tradition, those receiving the teachings support the teacher. Your registration costs help cover our teacher's travel and housing expenses, but do not include any other support. Please consider making a donation at the retreat according to your means and the value you feel you have received. Suggested Dana is $25 per day, or $75 for the retreat, but any amount will be accepted. Cash or checks can be taken at the retreat.
