3-Day Mindfulness Retreat with Dharma Teacher Chu Chan Huy, True Radiance, who received Lamp Transmission directly from Thich Nhat Hanh in 1994.
Friday, October 18 (8 AM) - Sunday, October 20 (through lunch) Kearns Spirituality Center, 9000 Babcock Boulevard, Allison Park, Pennsylvania 15101
The turbulence we encounter in life may be internal or external - a personal crisis that rocks us or circumstances around us that generate fear, anger, and divisiveness. The practice of mindfulness helps us cultivate an inner space where we can ground ourselves in peace and solidity. Breathing mindfully, we can stop, calm ourselves, and look deeply into our situation so we respond wisely, honoring our own integrity while also touching our deep connection to others and the wonders of life around us.
During our retreat we will ground ourselves in the practice of conscious breathing as we enjoy mindful sitting, walking, and eating, learning to bring a calm, open awareness to each moment. Teachings on the practice and small group sharing in a supportive environment will aid us in deepening our understanding and applying the practice in daily life. The retreat atmosphere is one of ease, acceptance, and quiet joy. Beginners to the practice are most welcome.

DANA - THE GIFT OF GENEROSITY
Our Dharma teachers follow a long tradition of offering the Buddha’s teachings without charge, as these teachings are priceless. As part of this tradition, those receiving the teachings support the teacher. Your registration costs help cover our teacher's travel and housing expenses, but do not include any other support. Please consider making a donation at the retreat according to your means and the value you feel you have received. Suggested Dana is $15-20 per day, or $60 for the retreat. Cash or checks can be taken at the retreat.
Another Dana opportunity is to include additional funds in your registration payment ear-marked for Scholarship assistance for others to attend. Thanks for any support you can provide.
