Laurelville Center Guesthouse
Friday, October 30 , 1:00 PM through Lunch
on Sunday, November 1
Laurelville Retreat Center
941 Laurelville Lane Mt. Pleasant, PA 15656
A Residential 3-Day Mindfulness Retreat in the
Plum Village Tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh
The retreat will be guided by Dharma Teachers and senior
Order of Interbeing Members from Laughing Rivers Sangha.
In our daily lives we often encounter words and images that water the seeds of anger, violence and discord. We may wish to have a positive impact in our world, but we are not sure how to speak or act to heal the suffering inside us and around us. Please join us for a retreat in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh, where we will spend 3 days in the Laurel Highlands, enjoying mindfulness practices that will strengthen our understanding of how to create true peace in our lives and in the world.
During our retreat we will ground ourselves in the practice of conscious breathing as we enjoy mindful sitting, walking, and eating, learning to bring a calm, open awareness to each moment. Teachings on the practice and small group sharing in a supportive environment will aid us in deepening our understanding and applying the practice in daily life. The retreat atmosphere is one of ease, acceptance, and quiet joy. Beginners to the practice are most welcome.
