Friday, Sept 26 , 1:00 PM through Lunch on Sunday, Sept 28
St Paul of the Cross Retreat Center
148 Monastery Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15203
3-Day Mindfulness Retreat with Dharma Teacher Chan Huy, True Radiance,
who received Lamp Transmission directly from Thich Nhat Hanh in 1994.
Having the opportunity to be on retreat is a wonderful gift. It allows us the time and space to truly stop and return to ourselves, opening the path to healing and transformation. Practicing with the support of our spiritual community, we cultivate an inner space where we can ground ourselves in peace and solidity. Through body movements and Touching the Earth practices, we can begin to feel our deep connection to the many wonders of life and touch the Beloved Community within us and around us. We are especially pleased to be welcoming from Vietnam our root teacher, Chu Chan Huy, who has lovingly guided Laughing Rivers Sangha for more than two decades.
During our retreat we will ground ourselves in the practice of conscious breathing as we enjoy mindful sitting, walking, and eating, learning to bring a calm, open awareness to each moment. Teachings on the practice and small group sharing in a supportive environment will aid us in deepening our understanding and applying the practice in daily life. The retreat atmosphere is one of ease, acceptance, and quiet joy. Beginners to the practice are most welcome.
